Tiger Camp, Chitwan
Chitwan National Park, Chitwan, Nepal.
This very best located, friendly and eco-friendly safari resort is highly recommended by Lonely planet and Rough Guide Book etc. Located at the very entrance point of the National Park just outside the village, it is the only resort which actually over looks the river and National Park. Tiger Camp is at a perfectly safe place, as it is located next door to Army Post and Park Office. Mini river beach and sitting areas in the lawns offer great views of elephant bathing, birds dancing and fantastic sunset.
It is a perfect place for relaxation, entertainment and honey-mooning, as tiger camp is surrounded by the River Rapti and flood plains of the National Park. It is surrounded by private forests and National Park from three sides. It is at the edge of the tourist village of Sauraha, yet it has deep jungle tranquility. The Roof Top Restaurant, Mini Beach, Gift Shop, Communication Center and Travel desk etc are very popular, even with the tourists staying with other lodges situated in the village and even within the National Park.
It is an interesting place for ecologically conscious tourists. Our biogas plant run from toilets, back boilers, rural refrigerator and solar lanterns are worth seeing. Sun bathing in our Mini Beach at the bank of the river is great fun and swimming in the river is fantastic especially in the summer. You can also bath the elephants in the river.

Facilities and Services
The architecture of our cottages are unique. They are very safe, even if we are surrounded by the jungles from three sides. The design and building materials of the cottages blend perfectly with the natural surroundings. The interior decoration of our standard rooms are almost as good as that of any 2-star hotel rooms of Katmandu.
Our deluxe rooms are fitted with air coolers and have bath tubs for relaxation. The famous Machan rooms stand on stilts and are truly unique and highly recommended by international guide book, from where one can even see rhinos crossing the river. Tiger camp is also very suitable and interesting place for Yoga practitioners and star gazers. The campfire and tribal dances here, are simply fantastic and our bar- be-que of whole day roasted (full) semi-wild boar is already famous. Our "Tandoori" dishes are also very popular with the tourists. You can buy the best Pizza Packets from our restaurant to take with in the Jungle Walk. |
